What a Sensory Diet Is Not


A sensory diet is not:

  • A reward system

  • A punishment

  • A cure for ADHD

  • A replacement for therapy or medication

When Should You Seek Occupational Therapy?


While many sensory strategies can be implemented independently, there are times when professional evaluation is essential.

  • Sensory seeking interferes significantly with school functioning

  • Emotional dysregulation is intense and frequent
